Shit, read what you said wrong. At least you don't sit at work browsing /b/ or something similar. Otherwise both our reactions would've been completely different.

I'm not a douche? That's a surprise. You actually caught me at a bad point of my day. Well, thanks and I didn't know you worked on PB. I'm used to talking to 14-18 year olds who talk shit. Sorry.

Hey thanks for the comment on my drawing! Big Grin I don't draw often but some things inspire me to just stop right there and draw for hours lol And to reply to your last message, yes, Ollie loved the trails but they were a bit tame. Just the ones up near the Mendel. I rode the bike back home too though I didn't think I'd make it. Only two hours riding but on the 26lb kona I could do four and still want more lol! Ollie is a heavier bike...but I am a heavier girl. I am not going to retire my bike for the winter cause I want to be fit for next season. Was going to go to blackstrap today but my ride out there is not feeling well. I hear there is building going on somewhere else up there but I have not been there yet. One thing about leafless trees, at least the damn twigs are no longer hiding behind leaves to jump out at poke you in the eyes

I have been getting out to ride often, the weather is nice. Took Ollie out on the stairs at the river and did a few trails there. I tell ya though, that 37lb bike is hard to push back up 33rd from the train bridge lol How about you, gone out riding in the rain yet? If its nice I am going out to blackstrap again this weekend, hit a few more trees haha

Glycerine wrote

You were right, the snow didn't last and I was able to dig up my potatoes LOL! Hope you didn't get beaten by that tree too badly. I hit trees often, my mother wonders why I even bike with how accident prone I am. And pavement is the worst I have landed on so far...haven't been to the rock garden yet Big Grin

Glycerine wrote

Sorry to hear about your friend, hope things went well with his leg. Most of my falls have been on pavement, just miscalculating a curb lol! When I had that visual crash it was at blackstrap. I had another one there where I hit a tree. I was trying to learn a technical bit of trail. There was this fallen tree in the middle and my line I kept picking was too high and when I came over I shot into a dead tree stump lol! My friend was there laughing at me so it was all good. He knows a few of the trails out at the Pound cause he raced there this September, but I have

Yup the one out at black strap. Its a short one that is hidden fairly well. You can see where everyone has ridden out of the bush though, just across from some camp sites. I need to get a map and mark it down. I am getting elbow pads as well lol I think I'll put good use to them. Might go out once more before weather gets too bad. Either there or Buffalo Pound. I'll have to get some pictures. And if your asking what my worst wipe out or accident was...For visual effects, When I came off the bike last week over the handle bars. It didn't hurt bad but it was funny, bike all over me and my limbs splayed out in different directions, dirt in my mouth lol. For injury I just ascended a sleep hill at an angle and busted up my ankle. Tore ligaments, crushed bone on one side and was on crutches for six months.

I hit that trail again the other day. Went out with a bunch of people and helped build a berm. It was awesome! I was sick so I couldn't push up as easy so I only descended four times, But man! Had so much fun. The only drop I have experienced is a curb...doesn't count lol! When it comes to getting hurt I am always at the top of the line. Coworkers call me scar leg. I didn't have shin guards for a while and that wasn't stopping me =D

Bikes are very personal I think. Someone may not like mine or think whats on it is worth anything, but it suites me perfectly and I love it! I want to go to Whistler next summer so bad! Have lots to learn and work on to get fit and be a better rider though, but I am glad to hear that winter riding benefits. I have no plans to hit up a mountain yet, just some mildly technical trails. Don't want to bust my teeth out with lack of knowledge on the first big air I get lol

Ride what ya got right lol Sorry to hear your garage got cleaned out, sucks. Next day off I'll go check out Ken's shop. Like the fact that its open later. The rear shock is a fox vanilla, six inches of travel. I am not used to the FS bike lol more used to the hardtail Kona Caldera but she has to go back to her owner. I gatta get used to that Ollie before winter is here

Pain lets me know I am alive lol but yea think its on 2nd avenue, can't remember. A friend's buddy owns the shop and for bikes I seen scott and devinci. I have only been to 2nd nature and Spoke 'n sports. I want to check out all the rest of the bike shops here though.

Awesome bike! For how cheap it was it really does well. I got it from 2nd Nature downtown. Excellent customer service there. I am so freaking sore from yesterday but I just have to take it out again today lol When I find out more info on the trail I'll let you know

i got no problem riding around town tonight. we will probably be going tomorrow afternoon. if you came that would be awesome because i just found out jon has no truck right now and im not sure if i can get the van to haul bikes. so if you could take the truck (if you come) that would be super duper.

madm3chanic wrote
Aug 16, 2009 at 4:10
actually it just feels like my other frames, bit more lively than my other DJ frame cause of the weight but its plenty stiff cause i used fairly heavy chainstays. i reckon if i get two seasons out of it ill be chuffed, but seriously i go thru frames so quick i recon ill replace it with something else before it snaps haha Wink

tell ya what tho, i aint never riding an ali hardtail ever again tho...

its good man! DJ'd it today, had a cool sesh an once i got used to the crazy short geo, it rips Smile can boost hell high, but the bike is only 27.5lbs all built up, so that may have something to do with it.
